Make the most of the season by following these simple guidelines

The new season is a great reason to make and keep resolutions. Whether it’s eating right or cleaning out the garage, here are some tips for making and keeping resolutions.
Make a list
Check the list regularly
Reward yourself
Think positively
Lists are great ways to stay on track. Write down some big things you want to accomplish and some smaller things, too.
Check the list regularly
Don’t forget to check in and see how you’re doing. Just because you don’t achieve the big goals right away doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.
Reward yourself
When you succeed in achieving a goal, be it a big one or a small one, make sure to pat yourself on the back.
Think positively
Positive thinking is a major factor in success. So instead of mulling over things that didn’t go quite right, remind yourself of things that did.

You might not think of cleaning as a part of managing your move, however, it really is an important part of preparing for your move. Don't forget the rarely used items While we all take pride in running a clean and orderly home, there are items that have just been overlooked, such as dishes, glasses, vases, pans, etc. which have been stuck in the back of cupboards, on a basement shelf, etc. Or perhaps the shoes that have not been worn but have been gathering dust in the closets. And let’s not forget the precious books that sit on a shelf. Whether or not you realize it, dust and grime seem to permeate shelves, cracks and air. Clean the 'keepers' As you are going through items and deciding what you will be taking with you, set aside some time to clean all the “keepers”. While it may seem time consuming, it will arrive in your new home clean and fresh and you will avoid bringing the old dust and grime into your new space. Your new home will appreciate it You may laugh, however, not only will your belongings be fresh in your new home but the air you breathe will be cleaner bringing you a healthier environment.
